Bookings
Where do you operate?
Helpr currently serves Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) only. We'll expand once we're great at one city.
Can I book once-off, or only recurring?
Both. Choose once-off for a single visit, or weekly, fortnightly, or monthly for recurring help.
How far in advance should one book?
1–3 days ahead. If you book less than 24 hours before the visit, your Helpr can only start the day after — we require at least 24 hours' notice.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes. Free changes up to 48 hours before the visit; later changes may incur a partial fee per our cancellation policy.
Vetting & safety
How are Helprs vetted?
Every Helpr is interviewed in person, ID-verified, and reference-checked before being listed.
Are they insured?
Helpr provides platform-level dispute resolution. For high-value items, customer home contents insurance still applies as normal.
What if something goes wrong during a visit?
Contact our team immediately — we're on hand to mediate, reschedule, or replace your Helpr.
Pricing & payments
How does pricing work?
Each Helpr sets their own rate. Helpr adds a 5% platform fee on top. The total you see at checkout is what you pay.
Do I pay cash or online?
All bookings are paid online for safety and transparency. Workers receive their rate via EFT payout.
Are tips allowed?
Absolutely. Tips go directly to your Helpr — feel free to hand them cash if you'd like to show appreciation.
