Privacy Policy

• From customers: name, email, phone, addresses in Gqeberha, booking history, and payment status.
• From helpers: name, photo, ID for verification, suburbs serviced, languages, experience, references, and bank details for payouts.
• Automatically: device, browser, and basic analytics needed to keep the service safe and reliable.

• Performance of contract — matching customers with helpers and managing bookings.
• Legitimate interest — vetting helpers, preventing fraud, improving the service.
• Consent — where required (e.g. publishing a helper's profile, marketing emails).
• Legal obligation — tax, accounting, dispute resolution.

We only share information when needed to deliver the service: with the matched helper or customer for a specific booking, with our payment processor, and with service providers (hosting, email, analytics) bound by written agreements. We do not sell your information.

We keep customer and booking records for 5 years after your last booking (SARS requirement). Helper records are kept for the duration of their listing plus 5 years. You can request earlier deletion at any time, subject to legal hold.

• Access the information we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion.
• Object to processing or withdraw consent (e.g. unsubscribe from marketing).
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access is restricted to staff who need it. Payments are handled by a PCI-compliant processor — Helpr never stores your full card number.

Helpr is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
